Volunteering

Volunteers are needed to help at the Aurora Animal Control Facility (AAC) and with activities of the Fox Valley Animal Welfare League. If you're interested in being a Volunteer please Contact Us.

Membership and Volunteer Canvass

Please take a look at our Membership and Volunteer Canvass Form, listing the various activities that you may be interested in helping with.

1. Have you ever wondered what we do? Would you like to spend some time with a trained volunteer in our League Office? 2. Would you like to be a League Volunteer at the Shelter? Help is needed to:_____ Exercise Dogs, _____ Socialize Cats, _____ Clean Cages 3. I am willing to help with an education program. 4. I am interested in the "Puppy Love Program" - taking puppies and kittens into nursing homes. (April through October, usually just 2 days a month.) 5. I'd like to learn to make Catnip-Balls to raise funds for the League. 6. I can help with the Rummage Sales held in May and/or October. 7. I can haul rummage to and from the sales. 8. I can contribute to bake sales. 9. I can help at "Candy Days" held in the spring. 10. I can distribute posters announcing upcoming events. 11. Things I'm good at that might help the League : _____Sew, _____Bake, _____Knit, _____Make Candy, _____Crochet, _____Donate Pet Items, _____ Other Handcrafts, _____Groom Animals 12. I can paint, do carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, etc. 13. I am interested in becoming a Board Member. 14. I can provide legal advise or services. 15.
